New Bangalore Airport Pictures

These are the latest updated pictures of the Bangalore airport slated for completion in May 2008. I am not sure if they are going to meet that deadline, but judging by the pictures below, they seem to making decent progress. As I stated in my last post on the New Delhi International Airport the new airports all around India are an important symbol of India’s modernization and will give confidence to foreign investors.

Compared to the new airport designs for the rest of the country, the Bangalore airport looks like a little warehouse. Who are the idiots who approved the design?.

Design is anything but

Design is anything but outrageous. Approach is ground level only, which means check-in, baggage claim everything at ground level, airport entry and exit at that level only - so expect massive traffic block at that level. Even tiny airports in rest of the world have far superior design and looks. Even AAI designs are much better. As a Bangalore I feel cheated.

Very Abvious- Hyderabad airport has beaten Bangalore in every aspect of design. Hard to believe they got approval for this design. what a disappointmnet!

THE SHEER INDIFFERENCE OF BANGALOREANS TO ANYTHING- I REPEAT- ANYTHING THAT GOES ON AROUND THEM HAS LED TO THIS POOR DESIGN OF THIS LITTLE AIRPORT, AN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WITH ONE RUNWAY!!. NOT TO MENTION THAT THESE CORRUPT TO THE CORE POLITICIANS HAVE MADE SURE THAT THERE IS NO EXPRESSWAY CONNECTING THE CITY TO THE AIR, INSPITE OF REPEATED REMINDERS FROM BIAL. .PEOPLE LIVING IN ANY OTHER CITY IN INDIA WOULD HAVE DONE A VERY GOOD JOB. SHAME ON BANGALOREANS.

Bangalore Int Airport would be the biggest disaster Project of this decade and coming decaades. Ofcourse it will be congested, but congestion is not a metre for Quality

Thought i would give it some time, but sad to say that the new Bangalore airport is an average airport that one finds in a small town in the United States. How on earth could this have happened?. One possible reason is that at a crucial time, we allowed villagers kumaraswamy and company to be in charge. These guys are comfortable sleeping in a 5-star hotel(puzzled as they were at the toilet paper and liquid antibacterial soap!) as they are on a village floor with the cow emptying its bowels next to their heads!.

though i am a hyderabadi i feel disgusted at the indefference of the state govt of karnataka as it has failed on this frontier. the govt must have taken note that these airports are not built everyday and must have appoved a proper design. sadly, the looks and facilities seem nowhere near worlclass.

Its a big disaster, waste of time and money. I was awaiting for a world class airport, it doesn't even come 10% close to Singapore Changi Airport. I am very disppointed to see a airport which looks like a warehouse. How can anyone approve a design like that. Its a shame on Karnataka Government and a big disappointment to Bangaloreans.

Its very true...these fuckers politician still in the egg shell they have no idea what is international airport looks like making false promises and fake propogandas...Just look at new air port of China that create world record. I wish I would have design I responsible person to those who have approved and involved in this project. Long awaited projected finally fucked up just because of some asshole's decision

Come on guys we have better designed IT offices & Prestieg buildings in bangalore. Its such a utter nonsense in spending millions and at the end we get a WAREHOUSE not a INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT. Atleast there should be something which would be proud of. where are the designers, architects, engineers.
