We've covered Antilla, the Ambani's massive mansion in the past, but it's nearing completion and the Ambani's are about to move in. Forbes has estimated the cost at $2 billion dollars which raises the question of who/what is insuring this home? Times Now has covered the home with this video. Mukesh claims he's going to use the home for corporate events thus hoping for some kind of tax break on the structure I suppose.
"When the Ambani residence is finished in January, completing a four-year process, it will be 550 feet high with 4,000,000 square feet of interior space," Forbes said in a report on its website.
The shape of the home (can one really call it a home?) is based on Vaastu, but I don't think Vaastu anticipated a home of this size. Each floor of the home is different with different materials on each floor. It sounds like a modern day Palace of Versaille instead this one is more vertical and the gardens are up in the air.
We applaud the billionaire's need to show off his wealth, let's hope it remains a symbol for what other Indians' can accomplish.
