Good news for you as monopoly of Google is over with Yahoo India also entering into the domain of OneSearch SMS. This will mean that if you are interested in searching few things on the Internet with the help of Yahoo’s search engine but do not have access to Internet or a GPRS enabled mobile phone, all you will need to do is to send a SMS with the search keywords.

For most netizens, Yahoo has been the original portal. Not only has Yahoo been on the web for over a decade is has also offered a wide array of top-notch services. But when people like me entered the realm of social networking, widely been regarded as the next big leap for the Internet, I was quite flabbergasted to see Yahoo missing in action.

Top 40 India Business Sites

According to Alexa, the sites below are the top 40 business related sites in the country of India. It’s interesting to note that Yahoo leads the pack, although Google seems lead in most of the rest of the world. I suspect if you count all of the Google site traffic (Google India, Google.com, Orkut, and Google Syndication) Google may be the #1 site in India. The first India owned site comes in at #5, where Rediff makes a strong showing.
